You're not too late to do more cuttings, I think I might have succeeded with clematis and dianthus, I have never done clematis before so I have my fingers crossed.
No potatoes handy at the time - I was lucky to have scissors and a plastic bag :) Shall have to be more prepared. I´ve got my eye on several hydrangeas and a wisteria at abandoned properties in the area. I was forever breaking off clematis stems when we had some.
