I am not a shopper. And I am appalled that the American fetish for mindless consumption has been imported over here. But if you have a long Christmas list, consider patronizing your local crafts and businesses. It´s more important than ever that money circulate in our neighborhoods and towns.
We agree 100% with you, all our shopping is done, all barring one gift came from a craft fare, the remaining one is being made by a friend.
ReplyDeleteI´m delighted that being an expat has considerably shortened my list! I do wonder about patronizing Amazon, etc. for what I do send overseas, but the convenience is hard to beat.
