Just back from southern California, visting Mom. She´s having problems wth hip and leg pain from disk pressure on spinal nerves. Otherwise in splendid health. Even so, every time I see her, I think it might be the last.
Got to eat ethnic food, read books, drink martinis, watch TV in English (not much to recommend there, although BBC´s Poldark looked good). I did manage to weed, plant and mulch two beds just outside her door so they should be maintenance free for the foreseeable future. We did some knitting and had long chats. Had a family reunion with my brothers. It´s been 15 years since we´ve been together. That was interesting.
So strange to go from one part of the world to another in less than 24 hours. Getting over the jetlag now.
