House update

Floors and tiling done.  We took up some plumbing fixtures we expect will be installed directly.  The oak floors are lovely.  They´ve had some swelling issues in the humidity, but we hope that will go away with better weather.

The lack of a wall between the shower and tub was a disappointment, but we´re hoping the glass shower enclosure will improve it.

Met with the plumber to discuss a thermal store and water heater for hot water and radiators.  We´re waiting for his proposal.

Went to the builder´s warehouse and saw our wood cooker with a back boiler- and I´m glad to report that it is stunning.  But we forgot to take pictures.

Also met with the electrician and will presently be applying for the electrical service from Fenosa - fingers crossed!!

Onward and upward.

  2. It really is beautiful. But patience and money are running short and poor V is going to give himself an ulcer trying to engineer the move.

  3. Just try and enjoy the transition, stressful at times no doubt. It'll soon be a reality for you both.

  5. Impressive! Just as you said, the oak floors look really great. Interesting bit on thermal store and water heater; what are your concerns on this? Is it where it would be placed, or the costs? You guys seem to be satisfied with much of the work; take it easy and don't get stressed out and everything will turn out fine. Cheers!

  6. It’s good to see this amazing progress. With the floors, tiling, and plumbing done, I assume you were pretty close to wrapping things up then. I hope the rest of the renovation and the move all went according to your plans. Have a nice day!

  7. Hey, Coco! How are things with the house nowadays? Judging from the photos, it seems like a lot of muscle and time was needed before you could settle in. I hope things turned out fine for you guys. Anyway, thanks for sharing this with us. Have a great day!
